Upon waking last Saturday, it was a bit rainy, so I knew we would have lovely light. As a photographer, this is what we pray for. Some brides would be sent into a tailspin with not-so-perfect weather, but Morgan is so delightful, prepared and easy going, that no weather report would dampen her spirits. Her groom, Justin, was just dapper! We had such a great time with this couple and their families. It was truly our pleasure to capture this day!

When we saw Rebecca in her wedding gown, she was breathtaking! The feel of this wedding was very “old Hollywood”, and in finalizing the image collection, so many of the images just needed to be in black and white. January wedding sneak peek ~ Sewickley wedding photographer

It is rare that we release just one image before we have a full feature ready, but we thought this image was too lovely not to share. We LOVE a bride who breaks with tradition and trends to follow her own style. Rebecca was stunning in her one shoulder gown with old Hollywood flavor. Much more to come so please stop back shortly.
We also love this image, as it is a lovely example of ‘styling’. So many clients want photographs that are ‘unposed’. The only challenge is that, unless you are used to being in front of the camera, you may not know exactly what looks best. While Rebecca is naturally beautiful, there was a bit of styling to create a ‘better’ image by arranging her dress to show the unique detail, adding the candle stick for balance and interest without upstaging our bride, and a tiny bit of coaching to be sure all the angles worked. Not posed, styled, it’s what we do!

We are pleased to feature a September wedding as we enter the New Year…

What a fabulous wedding! The gorgeous couple, lots of time for photographs and very cooperative weather made for a perfect day with Gina and Steven. First, how gorgeous is Gina?! These two were made for eachother. We loved everything about this ‘perfect pear’, and the details of their lovely day. From the amazing dress, rings and flowers to the uncommon cigar bar and sparkler send off, it was quite a phenomenal day. We are honored to have been able to share the day with Gina and Steven and their lovely families, and are pleased to feature it as we enter a new year… 2012.

First, a few details…

With such an agreeable couple and some pretty fabulous timing, we were able to get an amazing Mount Washington image for Gina & Steven. One of our most favorites, which were very difficult to choose. A few more faves follow. We like to highlight our favorite images so that you may get a better preview of our style. We are not ‘snapshot’ photographers. We compose imagery with the end result in mind, and how our clients will enjoy their memories ~ as fine art prints, rich canvases or as a collection in a timeless, custom wedding album. While we do love to capture details, our focus is on our clients, the bride and groom.

Dana & Philip… First Edition

Oh! Where to start? First of all, we adore this couple! While Dana & Philip currently reside in San Francisco, their wedding was celebrated at the Fox Chapel Golf Club near Pittsburgh, and it was quite the international affair. Philip is from Ireland, and we feel so fortunate to have been able to meet his delightful and musically gifted family. We are even more delighted to be able to share our First Edition with guests from near and far.

The light was magnificent, the venue was spectacular, and the couple is gorgeous… in short, we had a pretty easy day of work. The real difficulty began when I tried to select my favorites for the First Edition. This is just a small sample, as there are simply too many favorites to share. In fact, there are so many favorites, that you will need to stop back tomorrow for a peek at our favorite details.

CONGRATULATIONS DANA & PHILIP!

Before I let you go, may I point out our Top 10 favorites? Just in case you are passing by, I don’t want you to miss them. It also gives you great insight into our style, which is classic, elegant, and sophisticated. We don’t shy away from color, in fact we LOVE it! We love extreme angles, and wide apertures, which draw the eye to the subject. We also compose with a quiet, ‘second image’, like the couples’ reflection in the mirror behind them during their first dance, or the bride’s mom & brother sharing a hug during the Father & Daughter Dance. Finally, we are not quite sure if it’s a Bellissima collection without flare, which has become one of our signatures. We hope you enjoy this wedding as much as we did, and please stop back tomorrow for more of the details.

Joanna & Ryan were wed at St. Paul’s Cathedral in our beautiful city of Pittburgh, and celebrated in grande style at the Carnegie Music Hall.
